Qatar Voted on November 5 For Constitutional Amendments!

• A Historic Referendum Took Place on November 5: Qatari citizens will vote on key constitutional amendments that could shape the nation’s future.

• Eligibility: All Qatari citizens aged 18+ were invited to vote, as per Decree No. 87 of 2024 by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

• Employees Also Got Early Dismissal: Qatari workers may be granted early dismissal to ensure they have time to vote.

• Voting Hours: 7 am to 7 pm, with two voting options, paper or electronic voting at designated stations.

• Remote: Voting via the Metrash2 app for those unable to vote in person.

• Paper Voting: Locations include Ali Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah Arena, Al Sadd Sports Club, and other venues in Al Rayyan, Al Khor, Al Shamal, and more.

• Electronic Voting: Stations at Hamad International Airport, malls (Villaggio, Landmark, Mall of Qatar), Qatar University, and more.

• Metrash2 App: Convenient remote voting for those not voting in person, available anywhere with app access.

• Results Announcement: Final results were announced 24 hours later, with the referendum passing with 91% of the vote and 84% voter turnout.
