📱 🇶🇦 Ministry of Justice Released New Privacy Guidelines For Social Media Users in Qatar

Qatar’s Ministry of Justice just dropped updated privacy guidelines for social media users and content creators. 🤳 

As of last Monday (August 4), it’s now illegal to post photos or videos of people in public without their consent. That includes parks, cafés, malls… anywhere. :phone

Why this matters

Violating this could lead to up to 1 year in jail or a QR100,000 fine. For content creators, vloggers, and even casual posters, it’s important to ask permission before hitting “post.”

This update is all about making Qatar’s digital space more respectful and secure for everyone. 🙏

🎉🎓📚️ Born In Doha? Then You Might Qualify For This Big Scholarship Update!

Qatar’s Ministry of Education has expanded its scholarship program to include more specialisations and more eligible students including those born in Doha, holders of Qatari documents, and permanent residents!

The new tracks include nursing, first aid, pharmacy, and even creative fields like filmmaking and museum studies. 📽️ 🖼️ 

✅ Top highlights:

• Doha-born residents and perminant residency holders can now apply for government scholarships

• Nursing, first aid, and creative majors added

• Students get a stipend and direct job placement after graduation

• Top 10 students get exclusive academic privileges

• Minimum GPA: 80% for bachelor's, 70% for diploma programs

• English proficiency required (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent)

Applications are open until September 30th for universities in Qatar and abroad, with priority given to specialisations that meet health, education, and creative sector needs.
