Qatar Issues Warning Over Selected Infant Formula Batches ⚠️
MoPH Issues Warning: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health advises parents and caregivers not to use specific batches of infant formula due to suspected contamination with a toxin linked to Bacillus cereus bacteria.🦠
Swift Action Taken: The Food Safety Department coordinated with retailers and pharmacies to withdraw all affected products, while inspection teams conducted intensive market checks and collected samples for laboratory testing.👏🏻
Health Risk and Precautions: Bacillus cereus can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, especially dangerous for infants. No illnesses have been reported so far, but parents are urged to check product names and batch numbers and follow official guidance.
